To protect, conserve, and improve the Lower Penns Creek Watershed by promoting the wise stewardship of the land and aquatic resources.
The Lower Penns Creek Watershed Association was formed by residents of the local watershed. With help from the Union and Snyder County Conservation Districts, these concerned citizens were able to form a group with the capability of improving life for all residents of the watershed. The group was united around common concerns, and has since founded itself on a true belief in conservation of this great natural resource.
Some goals of the association include: -Improving watershed health -Educating watershed residents about the importance of the Lower Penns Creek and its tributaries -Promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices and BMPs -Encouraging proper land use and recreation within the watershed -Preserving the aesthetic values of the Watershed
